About Louziere

Louziere is set in twenty five acres of rolling countryside on the edge of the ancient forest of Juigné on the outskirts of Erbray in the region known as the Loire Atlantique. The village of Erbray (approx one mile away) offers a mini-market, cafes, restaurant, chemist, unisex hairdresser, bakers along with a cider farm and pork farm selling their delicious products direct.

The nearest town is Chateaubriant (six miles) boasting a medieval/renaissance chateau. The town offers all the usual amenities you would expect from an ancient market town. There is a good selection of super-markets, banks, shops, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and a lively market held weekly on a Wednesday morning

The beautiful cities of Rennes, Angers and Nantes are all within an hours drive offering cathedrals, chateaux, markets, and shops galore.

Glorious beaches, fishing ports and chic resorts are only an hour away.

For the gastronome, you are in heaven. The area is renowned for its beef and fois gras whilst surrounded with the cheeses and cider of Normandy and Brittany to the North and West, the wines and fruit of the loire to the south and east and abundant seafood to the south west.

The rambling countryside of the area is a delight for walkers, cyclists, fishing and bird watchers. There are many lakes in the area some have dedicated beach areas (with life guards) for swimming which are ideal for children. Some also have pedilos for hire.

Alternatively you can just sit back relax & enjoy the peace and quiet.
